You might want to check the world record holder of the high jump and the triple jump. It has been a while since a black athlete has held the record in both events. The movie was a freakin' movie more about culture and society more than fact. I'm becoming more convinced that your just an #$%#^@ trying to be funny, but it's clearly failing as a growing group on TERB are looking down on you very differently.

I think his work just reinforces dominant ideologies. There are anatomical differences between ALL races (why do you think police can restructure a face after finding bones/dead body partially/fully rid of all of its skin). However to say that one race is less likely to follow the law (a social aspect) or that they are less sexually restrained (another social aspect) is more Darwinian than anything else. Most people say Darwin was a great guy for his theories: maybe but his theories also paved way for many racially charged legislation both internationally (Nazis) and nationally (Canada/States re: Native Americans). Rushton basically said that "blacks are criminals and blacks will rape you" and YES that is racist and YES that does stereotype and YES it causes social problems for ONE racial group. If someone says one race's brains are smaller than another it could be true because ANATOMICALLY ALL races are different in bone structure, etc. However that is not what he was saying--he was saying that because of genes/hereditary that blacks are less intelligent which IS Darwinian (again he paved the way for racially charged theories/legislation so I would say that yes Rushton's work IS racially charged/racist).
In particular, he has been brought up in many of my research classes on campus as an example of HOW NOT to do research and it is true: any research that socially impedes another race based on stereotypes/generalizations (which some research does) then it should not be funded--after all SOME of the funding does come from the government, do you really want to be supporting that type of research yourself???? http://www.lfpress.com/2012/10/04/rushtons-ideas-died-with-him

According to one source, www.tiptoptens.com, 8 of the 10 most intelligent people in the world are White. Does this mean that Whites as a group are also the most intelligent? Do we now throw out the SAT scores?
