Anyone agree with me that male cops are the most perverted masoginistic type people.

I have a few buddies who work with the Toronto Police and these are some of the most hot headed, corrupt people i know...... anyone else got an opinion on this?

I dated a female cop in the 90's and she said that most cops are just criminals with badges. And this is coming from a cop herself no less.
Those recent guys that got busted for accepting payoffs in the bar district are simply the tip of the iceberg.

But IMO you will always have a degree of corruption in any profession and I dont think realistically that you can purge this in society.

BTW she also said that its standard policy to beat the crap out of a suspect if he/she has lead them on a high-speed chase and is caught. Just not when the camera's are around

Also, a large number of them do Cocaine, take steroids and well over half smoke weed on a regular basis.

I think this is a group of people who have tremendous responsibility, are in a state of constant threat and have to deal with the ugliest 10% of the population every day (would you want to pull Goober over?).

Give them a break. If they give you a name badge and a gun - it's not a good job.

Security gaurds...

Security guards are the guys who bug my ass. They are the ones to be more concerned about then LE officers I think. Wanna be cops. Some of them are a little 'off' if you know what I mean. Power mongers for sure. Today I read in The Star that they are going to start to regulate the security guards a bit more. About time I think.

I can't believe every cop is a crook, pot smoking, on the take individual.
Are there some bad cops absolutely. Considering some of the garbage they have to deal with especially in places like Scarborough, Jane/Finch, etc. and then see light sentences handed out from wimpy judges, it's a no wonder some cops are disslusioned with it all.

We could also start a thread on crappy over paid lawyers, teachers, and of course politicians

I agree with the above it's a hard job and a lot of times you deal with scum. I do find it hard to accept that this justifies them breaking the law, drinking and driving , keeping a few gram of coke etc etc. If we brek the law we get charged , the same law should apply to the ones that charge us.

I'm still pro-police as well. Let em have their fun but they couuld als show a little tolerance towards civilians as well.

A buddy of mine back in high school got busted with 50 ecstasy tabs but when it got to court the evidence bag only held 25.

I agree. And the same rights also.

Recently I read in a couple of local papers about the cop who went undercover and became a coke addict. Made perfect sense to me that this is a strong possiblity and could for sure happen. What I did not like was the punishment handed out to this cop. Cops are human too. He should have been allowed the option of rehab and keeping his job. For the first time ever I thought a cop was getting too harsh a punishment.


Wow... I must be getting old. :)
