I've been meaning to post this for a while now...
A bit of praise for lee and his service...
and a bit of helpful info for other independents who prefer to host in hotels. (and clients that use them too)

I am sure more then a few of you have seen the ads, and visited their not so stylish website.

www.copycraigs.com

ive been using copycraigs services for the past 6 months and have found Lee totally straight up and helpful. having access to hotels at the rates he can book them at has changed how i do 'business', and made my life a lot easier. im no longer hosting at home, which feels a lot safer, not to mention the ability to make a mess of the sheets and towels and just walk away. ; ) (and no more excited puppy jumping all over you either...though some of you may miss this detail of the maya experience)

having my incall at a 4 star hotel has been great. i think my clients appreciate it too...as they are central and parking is always easy to find.

before finding out about copycraigs booking hotel rooms simply wasnt economical.

expedia is pricey, and while i consider myself reasonably computer savvy, i found Priceline very hard to use. If you don't bid well the first time you are locked out, and you never are able to know where it is you are booking

at less then $70 US for the Sheraton or the hilton, and often $60 or less for the Radisson or the Westin, if you are paying full price for hotel rooms, i would suggest giving Lee a call.

How does copycraigs compare to hotwire? Hotwire has no fee, I believe it is a
subsidiary of expedia. It charges in $US.

just is really savvy with Priceline I think. Booking many rooms all day long gives him a serous advantage of knowing just how much to bid, the bare minimum...and what hotel that will likely give you

as for hotwire..I haven't used it so I can't comment. I do wonder if it has the same pitfalls as Priceline does.
Copycraigs does charge a fee for booking a room for you, but still i find it the best deal around.

Hotwire is good... I had the Hilton for $56 usd a night and the Sheraton for only slightly more. You don't know which hotel you have booked until your reservation goes-through but by selecting a 4-star or better hotel, it's a safe bet.

But thanks for your review of Copycraigs - I will likely try it out for my next reservation :)

that included all taxes. service charges vary depending on how many nights you are booking.

keep in mind those numbers are always fluctuating, depending on demand.
i have paid more and i have paid less (50-something for the sheraton, ofr example)

Thank you for the recommendation! Would I be able to recommend this site to some of my family and friends discreetly?(other word, do they only advertise on Terb? or other sites as well?)

I have several visitors from out of town and they have nothing to do with the business... but want to find decent hotels at decent prices. I used to use destina.ca(now aircanada.com) and orbitz.com but want some more alternatives. :) Kailani

Thanks for the recommendation. I have yet to hear anything bad about this service (except for the website lol). I plan to take the plunge myself within the coming weeks.

I have used this service once and honestly I was not that impressed, when you factor in that you get the price in US dollars add the service charge, it would have been about the same had I just gone to priceline myself.
