Oh boy...

'Coup has started,' whistleblower's attorney said in 2017 posts calling for impeachment

Mark Zaid, one of the attorneys representing the intelligence community whistleblower at the center of the Democrats' ongoing impeachment inquiry, tweeted conspicuously in January 2017 that a "coup has started" and that "impeachment will follow ultimately."

Then, in July 2017, Zaid remarked, "I predict @CNN will play a key role in @realDonaldTrump not finishing out his full term as president." Also that month, Zaid tweeted, "We will get rid of him, and this country is strong enough to survive even him and his supporters."

Amid a slew of impeachment-related posts, Zaid assured his Twitter followers that "as one falls, two more will take their place," apparently referring to Trump administration employees who defy the White House. Zaid promised that the "coup" would occur in "many steps."

The tweets, which came shortly after President Trump fired then-acting Attorney General Sally Yates for failing to defend federal laws in court, are likely to fuel Republican concerns that the anonymous whistleblower's complaint is tainted with partisanship. Trump's call with Ukraine's leader, which is the subject of the complaint, occurred in July 2019.

“The whistleblower’s lawyer gave away the game," the Trump campaign's communications director, Tim Murtaugh, told Fox News. "It was always the Democrats’ plan to stage a coup and impeach President Trump and all they ever needed was the right scheme. They whiffed on Mueller so now they’ve settled on the perfectly fine Ukraine phone call. This proves this was orchestrated from the beginning.”

Added House GOP leader Kevin McCarthy: "We should take [Zaid] at his word that this is a coordinated, premeditated plot to overturn the election."

This is not a good look for the whistleblower.

Who cares? It’s his lawyer who was making the Twitter posts...not the whistleblower.

If the whistleblower’s lawyer is a Habs fan does that mean the whistleblower is a Habs fan?

If the whistleblower’s lawyer is banging his secretary does that mean the whistleblower is also banging his secretary?

If the whistleblower’s lawyer has syphilis does that mean the whistleblower has syphilis?

And even if the whistleblower is a Habs fan, bangs his secretary, suffers from syphilis. AND hates trump...Who cares? The whistleblower acknowledges that he was not a first hand witness to many of the events he reported...but all the things s/he has reported have been verified by other witnesses.

As a trump supporter, you only have one choice and I have explained this to you guys in another thread.

Defences of POTUS that attempt to challenge the actual facts make you look desperate and stupid...but I’m guessing you guys are kinda used to that already.

One tweet and the Trump Cult Followers have gone ballistic. Yet this POTUS has in full view in front of journalists asked China to investigate Biden and put out numerous other tweets against everyone under the sun. Hannity is getting dumb and dumber by the minute if he thinks that lawyers should not have political opinions, especially when they had nothing to do with the whistleblower at that time. But give this lawyer credit, as his prediction is spot on. Just more and more Conspiracy theories by pet Hannity, just like the numerous others on Clinton. Great work Mark Zaid, and not long to go before the Impeachment hearings and eventual IMPEACHMENT become a reality. Hilarious!! :clap2:

Gee, maybe the whistleblower suggested that Trump offered the Ukrainian prime minister his arms delivery if the Ukrainian agreed to have a fake investigation on Hunter Biden and claimed to have dirt on him.....

Oh, just a second!!! Trump has already ADMITTED doing that! And a whole troop of witnesses has testified under oath to exactly the same set of facts!

Hmmmm......... But if the whistelblower's attorney's second cousin's sister's nail cosmetician's lesbian lover's plumber's wife's uber driver once sneezed when watching The Apprentice, then none of the above matters and
IT'S A WITCH HUNT!!!

The problem is the whistleblower was never a first hand witness in the true sense of a whistleblower. Perhaps they are just a disgruntled State Dept employee pissed off at Trump's policies who heard some things second or third hand. The first thing the so called whistleblower did was run for political cover from Adam Schiff's staff.

Of course, we know Schiff is the Congressman who is in possession of definitive proof that Donald Trump colluded with the Russians during the 2016 campaign. Why Schiff doesn't reveal this vital evidence of collusion is a complete mystery?

Then there's the problem that the whistleblower's second hand account doesn't line up exactly with the transcript. Yes, that's what happens when you play the game of "telephone".

Anyone who has worked for a large organization can share in the following experiences. (Please be objective for a moment. I know you can.)

When an outsider is hired to run the organization and they have a different direction they want to take the organization, the knives come out from many in the rank and file. Everything the new leader does is scrutinized, chastised and criticized by the rank and file who are disenchanted with the changes. This would all be understandable, but someone always thinks they no better and tries to undermine the leadership.

I see similarities here.

How about when an outsider comes in and starts embezzling or breaking the law?
That's similar too, isn't it?

Not that it even matters...but it’s hardly surprising to find a lawyer who dislikes trump representing a client who is critical of trump. That’s kinda what you’d expect, no?

It’s kinda like accusing Gloria Allred of hating men when she aggressively represents a feminist cause. It’s like: “Wow! No shit, Sherlock...Why do you think I’m here?” LOL

SO MUCH FAIL!
