The Nirvana cover of Bowies "The Man Who Sold the World".

The Wallflowers cover of Bowies "Heroes".

The Seu Jorge cover of Bowies "Life on Mars" from the movie The Life Aquatic.

Basically, any Bowie covers... lol
“School Of Rock” covered Rebel Rebel a couple years ago with a female singer. All teenage band done in a recording studio. Google it. Really good.

No idea who or where these kids are but scrolled across them tonight …the overall sound for a group of kids playing live in the street is incredible. I had to magnify it to make sure it wasn’t fake. Looks real to me. Amazing really.

This Romanian girl has several good vids…of course the sound is cleaned up in studio but she really is good. And she’s got attitude. Theres a couple live stage gigs she does with the Andrei Cerbu band. She’s for real. Totally unknown outside the internet. The web is a wonderful place.

Best covers IMO are:

- Ring of Fire by Johnny Cash... Not an exact cover but a build on the original by June's sister... Which is awful IMO
- Patience by Chris Cornell
- Jolene by Miley Cyrus
- All Along the Watchtower by Jimi Hendrix
- I Will Always Love you by Whitney Houston
- Proud Mary by Creedence Clearwater Revival
-Always On My Mind by Pet Shop Boys
-Always on my Mind by Sinead O'Connor

Manfred Mann’s Blinded by the Light. Now, I’m a big Bruce Springsteen fan but his original is completely unlistenable.

Mann took a piece of shit, made it a hit and the royalty cheques roll over to Springsteen. Not bad for a song that was immediately forgotten when originally recorded.

Hurt by Johnny Cash, that’s a great version, better than Trent’s.

Honorable mention: Toronto’s The Rheostatics would never record it but would play their version of Neil Young’s Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere occasionally at their gigs. Spectacular version, would always bring the house down at the horseshoe tavern. Fuck I miss the 90’s Canadian Indie.
