People spreading misinformation are fairly direct contributors to this idiocy.
Does this mean Oracle's push for 'natural' immunity isn't a good idea?
We have seen this before with "bug catchers" who purposely tried to get the AIDS.

If they set a date, say Jan 1st, and on that day they would try to infect EVERYONE Covid, I'd be fine with that. The vaccinated wouldn''t have problems, the unvaccinated will take their chances and become either immune to it or die (I don't care which, it's their problem) and by Feb 1st we'd be done with the pandemic.
When I read “Alberta COVID Party,” I sssumed they were talking about the PPC.
To be fair I do not recall Oracle pushing for natural immunity. He post a study (or was it an article?) from doctors wanting to discuss natural immunity more. Which is fair to discuss. Even tho, for me and vast majority is not an option as it would cost too many lives and anyhow is not at all an option for Public Health.
As for the idiots and their covid party well... I have no words. I mean what can you say... They are beyond stupid plain and simple...
Yeah, the risk vs reward here is just....welll, idiotic. I mean, sure many people get covid and don't require hospitalization. But why would you want to take the chance? And it isn't a fun time in the hospital. The way people deteriorate and realize near the end they made a horrible mistake. On Reddit there is a subreddit called the Herman Cain Award. It takes people's social media posts talking about how the virus is fake, or wearing a mask is stupid or that the vaccine isn't safe. Eventually, they get the disease and start calling for "prayer" warriors to help them...and inevitably they die. Frequently they are defiant to the end, but a number of them start telling people not to take covid lightly.
I feel sorry for these people. They are just ignorant of science and do not want to be inconvenienced for a second by wearing a mask or getting the vaccine. I do not want any of them to die and I hope they see the light before it is too late.
I wonder how things might have been different if Trump didn't survive covid. First, let me say this, I DID NOT WANT HIM TO DIE!!! But, would his death spark his followers and the GOP leaders to recognize how serious things were? I've heard and read that people look at his recovery and think the would survive as well? I mean, he got the BEST medical care possible, plus drugs the average person could not afford or gain access to. But, if he passed....it would have been a shocking development that could have had a positive outcome for the America (and Canada).
