I apologize since I know that this site isn’t a buy and sell but I’ve got a box of Cuban Cigars left from my last Cuba trip that I’d like to unload. I figured that some fellow terbite might appreciate them.

Stay away from cuban cigars..!

Stay away this year at least as Cuban has had a huge problem with weevils in their tobacco crops and weevil larvae have been found in a high percentage of cuban cigars of all brands.

Any additional info on weevils ? Harmful to human ?
Usually the QC of Habanos is pretty good. Please advise.

Don't know for sure if they are harmful but can't imagine they are good. Certainly not listed by Health Canada as one of the essential food groups...!

I don't think there's anything wrong with these cigars.

Have some further info from my tobacconist. Apparently the larvae can be harmful if they get into to your respiratory system but you can ensure your safety by putting the cigars in your freezer over night. This will effectively kill all the larvae.

I had a cigar from Honduras. It was cheaper than Cuban, $5, but I thought it was very nice. I bought it at Shopsy's in the Esplanade area.

That Shopsys is a good place. My friend said "let's go to Shopsys", and I'm like "for what, I don't want any sausage." Quite suprised they have a large humidor room with cigars.

If anyone knows of a quality (i.e. humidor room) here in Hamilton please let me know.
