This is a private board, the mods can do whatever they want. There are no special rules for veteran posters.
After 30 days, he'll have learn his lesson and isn't that the point of a punishment?
In honor of Cycleguy I sit here sipping a cold beer, all alone in my home, sweating under the oppressive heat (I refuse to turn on my air conditioning on these wonderful days), wearing nothing but a food stained white wife beater t-shirt and cum & urine & ass stained white briefs underwear. Within the next half hour I'm gonna jerk off and turn this party out. I know Cycleguy is out there and doing exactly the same thing.

Maybe, but first the punishment should fit the offense and be seen as fair. It could easily result in a more bitter and less happy-go-lucky poster, nobody wants that.
I always saw Cycleguy as one of the good guys - he respected the terb rules. He was a helpful ambassador to newbies, we don't want to lose that spirit.
We don't know the whole story so we can't judge whether this sentence was fair or not. Only CG and the mods know. Maybe CG will say something about it if and when he comes back. It doesn't matter though, does it, if the punishment fit the crime? This is not a democracy. It's a private board and the mods are the kings. I guess if people don't like how they treated one of the "good" guys, then they can leave.
Just giving my view, fully supporting the strong moderating role taken on terb but hoping they ease up on a nice guy. I know what he said and don't believe he intended any disrespect by his remark.
"Love it or leave it" sounds a bit harsh, not a good motto for a friendly community.
I dunno. I've got no deep feelings either way about CG, but on the surface, seems like one of the good guys. But honestly, I don't get the sense the mods on here these days are trigger happy...I've fucked up a couple of times on the board, been banned a couple times, but on a couple of occasions when I was sure I'd crossed a line, the mods reached out privately, explained the rules, and gave me a waiver along with a very strong warning to straighten up and fly right. Whatever it was that warranted a banning, my guess is the application of the rules wasn't a knee jerk reaction...
You're right, this place IS a large boat full of penis' and potatos (dick tater ship) and for the most part, the mods are pretty fair. But we don't pay to come here, and have to play by their rules even if they don't seem fair to us.
