Nope. Cutting the cards doesn't really change the order of the cards.
The deck is rigged beforehand, and when he appears to be 'shuffling', he isn't really shuffling the rigged portion of the deck.

The most difficult part of these tricks are the slight of hand.
Diversion with jokes and a quick hand.

I love these tricks.
