It's more common that i thought and it goes mostly unnoticed unless its of importance. anyone been experiencing problems getting texts messages on time?
didn't realised it until someone showed me i can drag a message to see what time it was actually sent and the time i received it.
device: iphone6 provider: telus.
i pretty much rule out network coverage since i'm in the gta, can't be the other person's provider since it's happen with different people on different network, bad reception areas such as underground parking or in elevators (rarely stay in those places too long for it to be a factor) delays range from 15mins to even 24hrs.
what other possibilities are there to explain these delays?

Experienced it too and I'm with Rogers.
It's more common than we think ...thanks to some devices we can tell when it was sent and tha actually time it's received

I'm with Rogers as well. The delays, when it does happens (it only happens occasionally), is when my cell has been turned off for a bit and then turned back on again.
hmmm I was told by the rep the problem is more persistent when you don't power your device ocassionally, she said think of it as being tired and not functioning well.

Just got off the phone with a Telus rep... She suggested that I should power the phone off occasionally for it to reset and for update to refresh, my phone is basically on 24/7.
The rep is feeding you BS. This is a network issue. It can be due a variety of reasons, but none of them have anything to do with your handset being "tired". Text messages are pushed to your phone so the problem is clearly on their end.

If he had never texted me again, I likely would never have received them.
Unlike the younger generation I still prefer to talk to real people real time but it is frustrating when they don't pick up and don't have voice mail so I end up sending a text.
