Hello!

I was wondering if anyone had stayed at the Delta Hotel in Markham before? I'm trying to find a hotel in the area for a friend and his family. They have two young kids, so were hoping to get a one bedroom suite. The prices here seem reasonable, but how is the hotel, and the rooms? Any help/hints would be appreciated!
thanks

Homer

Its an okay spot, the suite thing has the pullout in the living room area.

the non smoking area is nicer than the smoking, at least last time I stayed there.

Never stayed at that one, its the one at the corner of 7 and Valhalla just east of the 404.

Eaten in the restaurant a few times, that was OK.

I must drive round with my eyes closed..Lord I thought that one was the Radisson, or is it a different hotel?? Though I have certainly never been to either.
Sorry homer, but I have stayed at the one I did mention and as a suites hotel it is reallty beautiful, just ignore the spa.

The more you post Dani, the more i look at your sig pic and the more I forget what the subject of the thread is. I was going from memory, which is fading, so my recollection may not be 100%. Need to go to the Beaver Creek area today ( for work not pooning) so I'll actually glance around and see.

The same hotels just keep changing names as new mgmt groups run them, I guess were supposed to think they are new hotels????

Delta in Markham is quite a good hotel. Rooms are large, the price is mid range.

Went by this aft.

I think it may have been a Radisson for awhile but the sign now says Delta.

Word of caution though Dani, never ever drive with your eyes closed in Markham, its just too dangerous.

Of course if you wish to enroll in my private driving school we can start with either HEAD on or REAR end situations. Had to say it, can't help myself. Even now, I'm dialling a therapist to see if i can get help.:D

LMAO..I was rear ended the other day by a woman on Yonge street, believe it or not, now if that does not generate some odd replies I will be very surprised.

Please tell us it wasn't greeksters girlfiend wielding a strap on.

Hope all was fine and that no injuries were sustained. Doesn't take much impact to ratchet up the repair bills.

Let the punners begin.

It was the Rad. Switched over in March but sign not noticeable till recently.

The old Markham Suite, now Hilton used to have special rates if you ask for it.

For what it's worth, lots of eateries in walking distance.

For homey feel, Residence Inn by Mariott with in-room fireplace, microwave/popcorns, Kitchen, cutley, dining tables & grocery service.

Just to prove or disprove the stereotype LancsLad had in mind but did not mention - what was the ethnicity of the driver that hit you?

People:

Thanks for the replies, even though they got a bit off topic! Ended up booking a suite at the Holiday Inn, at woodbine/steeles. Good price, big room and family friendly. Thanks again!
