I have a huge dent in my car door, and I want to fix it.

What's the cheapest way to fix a dent on your car door? Should I replace the sheet of metal on the door, should I just get the dent covered up? If I get it covered up will it rust?? What do I do? How much do you think it will cost?

Thanks for your help!

if the dent has no paint danage i can be taken out ..with out body work... look up paintless dent removal... there was a company out of thornhill called dent doctor. and also there was 'dent wizzard' don't know if they are still around... if the damage is very bad .. then i would think a good body shop would recomend the proper thing to do... get estimate from a few places... it should be free do so.. most car dealers would give you one..

If it has a crease then you should replace if there is no crease you should be able to have it pulled out with a minor touch up and be good to go

There's no paint damage , it's just a dent... I would think I'd just have to have the dent suctioned out, and I'm hoping it will be only be a few hundred, I really hope.

I'll check out dent doctor, thanks!

I used dent doctor before. It was about 4 years ago and he charged $100 for the first dent and then $20 per additional dent. Great workmanship!

$100?? Are you serious? How big was your dent? My dent is about a foot in length, half a foot in width, so I'm thinking my cost will be more.

Oh, then it's probably not within the capable hand of a dent doctor. I thought you meant door dings, etc. Mine were all door dings and dent doctor pull them all out and I could only find where they were only if the car is clean and shiny under the reflection of direct sunlight.

I saw pictures though of dents similar in size to the one I have , and companies like dent doctor were able to fix them , I'll have to check it out.
