I believe most countries have policies in place to deport "undesirables". Perhaps a review of those policies would be appropriate - and adjustments made to reflect the current world situation.

I agree with gallus through - leave religion and race out of it!

You are indeed right but upon reading the proposed measures in detail it is quite clear they ( The British) are largely targetting Muslim extremists. I guess they have identified that group as main the source of the problem.

Don't you read the papers - nothing is ever that simple? Wasn't the situation provoked by the 'civilized' nations meddling in their affairs for decades? But who could take on the first world's military with any real chance, so now they are using our comfortable life-styles against us.

What I was trying to say is that our current policies around deporting "undersirables" is probably rooted in terms of crimial activity and as such is administered under the justice system with all it's hearings and rights of appeal.

Reviewing those procedures and adding sections to deal specificly with extremists and terrorist related support, recruitment, and other activies would probably be a good thing. Whether these "new sections" are administered under our Justice System or a National Security agency should also be explored.

Religion and race may be part of it from their side, it doesn't have to be from ours. Hate just breeds more hate!

Whoever refuses to recognize the people of Canada, and the Parliaments they appoint, as the supreme and final sovereign source of authority on Earth should be expelled as soon as a prison-bus or barge can carry them out. I don't care what religion they follow or how long they've been here.

He's not talking about ALL muslims just the terrorist bastards who will all rot in hell by the way.

Besides whether it's bad form or not when I'm in an airport, train, subway, or bus and an arabic looking person leaves their bag behind I get nervous. Imagine how you'd feel if you were in a London subway tomorrow and some arabic looking person sat down beside you with a large package. It's a sign of the times. Get used to it whether you like it or not.

I hate to admit it, but that happened to me on the subway downtown last week - an Arab looking person with a large knap-sack made me nervous to the point where I considered getting off the car.

I don't claim to represent anybody. But I think it's a fair sociological generalization to say that if you want to set up a theocracy or some other form of government under which the will of the people isn't the supreme law, the majority is going to ask or rather force you to go do it somewhere else.
