yes there is. take your p4 card and put it in your reciever. turn to any channel in the 500's like hbo etc. if it gives you a message with something to do with ext 711 your card can be programmed. you WONT get ppv. but you get everyrthing else

There is a script over on another site that lets you wipe PPV purchases from subbed P4 cards. So Dave may not by fully open yet but things are happening

I really don't have to explain anything to you and like someone else mentioned here, every other channel comes in fine. Pay-per view? who gives a shit. I have every movie you can imagine and can burn any movie I want at any given time. The benefit of having direct tv over any other dish is better programs and less hassle with the card and receiver.

You have a sub, not a hack.
The key is used to sign commands to the card. It changes every 8 seconds. Stay away from the Blackbird. It's very proprietary and has a self destruct key. Nds and Dtv did a great job securing the P4/P5. At this point I doubt we are going to see a hack at all. With the standard security of the Infinion processor combined with the little extra's NDS added makes it almost impossible to distribute a feasible hack. With the PLL and possible CrypoFirewall pretty much eliminates most conventional methods of hacking.

There are scams around this. It works lke this...branson said:....i have been using mine now for 6 days. it cost me 250 and is guarateed for 3 months right now. its pricey but it gets me the us channels i want
1. The scammer takes your $250. He needs your card S/N and your receiver S/N
2. He then uses a stolen credit card to purchase a platnium subscription from DirecTV.
3. DirecTV activates your card/ receiver combination and it gets all the channels except PPV.
4. After a month or two, DirecTV finds out the credit card is stolen and cuts off service.
5. You go back to the scammer, but he has closed up shop and moved on.
6. Your card and receiver S/N are then blacklisted by DirecTV for non-payment

DTV also did a good job of getting rid the the top pirates and thier associated hacking sites (PirateDen, DecoderNews, Innermatrix). Someone once said that there are 10 pirates in the world whom are capable of hacking the P4/P5. Six of them are now in jail. I remember the first time I programmed my H card using basic H by Dexter. I couldn't believe how easy it was to circumvent a multi-million security system. Those guys made if fun and I really did learn a lot about programming in hex and computer coding. Hope Dexter gets out of it ok… he was one of the best guys. Always one step ahead of Dave with quick fixes as soon as Dave made a move. Never missed any Games!
