Dishnet Satellite help

Hello all tech savy terbites!!

I got the Viewsat platinum receiver, other day signal was coming in and out every thirty seconds and now got very little satellite signal (25%) , 0 quality , and no menu etc. Downloaded the new fix files to the receiver and still nothing.

No other settings were touched , no connections touched, checked to see if the dish had moved (nope still in same spot).

I am dumb founded.

Any ideaS?

Sat Help

Try going back to factory default and then rebooting.If that model has a USB interface reboot it with your Sat antenna disconnected then install your file.

It's a cabling or dishpointing problem. Once you fix that, sign up on ftatalk.com. You'll find the answers to all your questions there.

Why does everyone.....point to ftatalk.com.(or similar) and you will find all the answers....some of us....just prefer to "pay for it". This is why we are on this board.... Perhaps we are lazy.....some of us, just prefer to pay for it. Maybe becasue we can........not sure which...

It would be nice....if there was some..... "satellite" guys/gals, who just hook it. email the fix....and we pay for it. am I alone in these thoughts??

Check your cable that is connected to receiver from your lnb, or from your diseq switch if you are running one.
