He's been wholly protected as a monopoly and offers consumers little choice and plenty of grief.
His products are crap, and his marketing endlessly uncreative and repetitive. Just hammer the same fucking jingle and dumb ass commercials into people's heads over and over and they'll march to buy your products and be happy when they're fucked.
Some of you don't realize that he hasn't made all this money through creative business, but by convincing the very powerful in this country that if his monopoly is not protected, an American company will come and do it better. This is why he spends so much money on sports and charities and the like--it's good for business and convincing the powers that be that he's the devil we know.
Canadians LOVE monopolies. We are docile sheep who take shit and ask for more. Ted Rogers knows this, which is why he negative optioned (the balls).
I respect what he's done, but I hate his company and that we let him fuck us on what are for most people, essential services. Bell is simply another monopoly, same day different shit.
I was hoping Branson would come in and shake things up, but he doesn't have the traction that monopolies do.
