donating clothes

I got a whole shit load of clothes (even new pairs of jeans with tags lol) that i'd like to donate.
I've done the diabetes foundation, but was wondering if anyone knows of any good places that would send the stuff out to Africa, or other countries.
Or other good charities.

My daughter's highschool is collecting donations for teenagers that live in group homes.....maybe there's one in your area you could drop the clothes off to.

send them to Salv Army...charity begins at home dude, theres lotsa TO peeple that could use WARM clothes

Actually many charities send the clothes to Africa. Unfortunately they send them there to be sold to make money for the charity. This devistates the local economy (clothing manufacture etc.) and puts people out of work, thus ensuring the need for more charity.

I drive myself to the homeless centre in my city.
Sometimes they ask me if I want a tax receipt I say NO.

Noew they may seel if for extra cash but at least it is not in the landfill site.
