Is there another company who makes a good breathable shirt which is less expensive than the Nike kind? I'm finding that wearing my regular t-shirts is like wearing a shirt sized oven when I run or play basketball.
Thanks

HIND makes great performance wear. It's a little harder to find but it works great. During those really incredible sessions it keeps the sweat from dripping onto my partner. :)

As a cheaper alternative the Running Room branded clothers do a pretty good job. Much of their stuff is generic Cool Max.

Mountain Equipment...

Check out www.mec.ca or the Mountain Equipment store on King & Spadina. They're cheaper than Nike, though not inexpensive.

The NFL is endorsing the Body Armour brand...not sure if it's cheaper though...

I would avoid coolmax at all costs. I think it is awful.

Adidas climafit is good, but a heavier weight than most of my dri-fit. The guy who recommended MEC was right on... though their sizing tends to be more aggressive (a good thing on some things). I also think Hind has made great stuff but have not tried it in a couple of years..

MEC is a great choice. I use it for my Sport team as it dries quicker and body hugging warmth for cold days. When I wear it for workout overseas, get some glances and I'm no hunk. People often stop to ask where they can get it for their BF or SO.

As the Official Terb Spokesman for Under Armour (check Under Armour thread); Under Armour is awesome but I don't think it is cheaper than the Nike dri-fit.

The Nike Sphere shirts (Nike next gen Dri-fit) are great and they soak up the sweat quite efficiently.

For the best price, just shop around. All the sports retail stores sell some time of Dri-fit clothing and there should be some great sales on outgoing stock. Nike, New Balance, Reebook, etc.... all make dri-fit so you should have no problems finding a wide range of selection.

Even Running Room sells their own brand of Dri-fit so you can even check with them.
