I never said people did not the facts. If people knew some facts instead of general perception i see I would hope people would think differently.
He has saved millions of lives in Africa.
He has has been the most travelled President in the history of the US.
His administartion spent more money on natural disaster releif then amy other.
i can go on and anybody can make an argument against what i listed above.
But if you go back in history and look at all the presidents I think W has been treated unfairly and mis judged more harshly and my reason for saying that is because of the media - NY Times etc...

also W receivd so mush blame for Katrina which I think was totally unfair.
I am pretty sure he declared a state of emergency two days before the hurricnae hit. I beleive that is the firat time in history tht has happened a most times it is done afterwards.
The National Guard and City releif are local jurisdications.
He could not take control of the National Gurad as the Governor would not allow it as they are under her authority.
Mayor nagin put all those people i the convention center.
They kept the buses idle.
When Air Force One did not land and he circle to view the destruction he was blasted. It was decised at the time that the resources would have been better served to help the people of Louisana instead of helping the President land his plane and security details.
Everybody screwed up but it sems to me that Bush got all the blame.

In the laboratory.
I was wondering who in their right mind would pay to hear Bush speak. Still wondering.

Dubya's first stop on the lecture circuit is Alberta.

This is hilarious. LOL!
I wonder if it'll be shown on The Comedy Channel. Will Dubya become the next Chris Rock? :D

That is what happens when you sit in the big chair. The good presidents not only accept this fact, they embrace it.

Blame the media if you want but as far as I'm concerned, your man deserves the criticism.

patton has only 6 posts and is probably a multiple user, it just triggers my left nut that way, when the right winged rhetoric comes on-board and doesn't provide the "happy ending" review first.

I agree he deserves criticism but let's just be fair and call it even. I would do same for anybody else. Clinton, Obama, Reagan or a Roosevelt.
Anyways nice chat and I am not a multiple user. I just speak softly and carry a big stick!

The fact that every intel network in the world thought that Saddam Hussain had WMDs. Judging by Saddams actions i think even he thought he had WMDs.

Bush is not our President, anymore.
He will forever be your President, lol, not the active one, but he'll always carry the President title, just like all the other past Presidents.

Your point being what? Every leader who has ever lived, no matter how evil they may or may not have been, had some supporters. There are still more than a few people in Russia who wish Stalin could return from the grave for christ sakes.

Ironically enough, the CIA didn't.

While Rummy and Cheney tried to build a case for Saddam's WMD, Tenent and the CIA thought the intel was suspect.

He accomplished something else. Most of world oil reserves are now under US control. Cold fact. It makes strategic positon of America in the world stronger than ever. Look at facts not at perception creating left wing media.

Negative, sir. The US does not in any practical way control the oil under
Iraq, you might just as well claim that Iran controls the Iraq oil reserves,
or will, as soon as the americans depart.

So americans are so stupid to wage hugly expensive war, remove Hussain family from power, just to give it all to Iran few years later?!! Really?!!!
Nobody will do it unless his forced to leave. And who is going to kick them out? President Obama stop talking about withdrawal after he assumed the office. You know why Germany and Japan lost WW2 ? Because they got cut off from fuel.

You might want to review the Iraq Oil law which they will very likely pass in the next few months. It was largely drafted by the US, and leaves Big Oil poised to be in control of 2/3 of known reserves, as well as potentially all of any future reserves. Supposedly this is all open to bid, but who do you think will win the fat contracts with over 100,000 US troops standing by?

Do oil companies count as America?
