DVD Conversion Using Super

Hey guys I'm trying to convert an .avi file into a file that any regular DVD player can read. I thought it was .vob, is that correct??????

I use Super software: http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html

Super has the .vob option but it also MPEG-1 and 2 as side option and also AC3 and MP2 as sound codecs.

So which ones do I click on??????

i thought you were using winavi which is fast.

it doesn't matter which you choose vob or mpeg 2 but you still have to use a dvd author program to import the files into.

but if you choose mpeg 2 the audio has to be 48 khz to be in the dvd standard.

Someone just told me about 'ConvertXtoDVD' and I'm gonna give that a try

I've used ConvertXtoDVD and found that the video pauses on and off thru the clip, i dont know why . I use WinFF and it works pretty good, but the size of the final vob file is huge compared to the original size of the avi/mpeg.

I've never had an issue with this program and it produced AWESOME results and so easy to use!

The major problem was the amount of space needed on a DVD and I decided to use my 4.7 DVD-RW to burn it and now it's all good!
