The simplistic thing to do would be to get a spindle from Wal-mart or Future Shop/Best Buy. Everyone has their own personal favourites but the Maxell and BenQ brands are pretty good. Maxell doesn't manufacture their own DVD-/+Rs but rather they're by either Taiyo Yuden, Hitachi Maxell or CMC - all of which do a decent enough job (seriously, you won't be keeping your data for 100 years so any difference in quality by spending more money is insignificant). BenQ (which is actually Acer's new consumer brand) uses Sony discs which are pretty good as well. Even though you'll be supporting the large faceless chains, they do have good prices and are well-stocked.
