Again Loki assumes the way he thinks is the same as everyone else.

I'm not super close with my parents but they've always looked out of me unconditionally. Now that they are older and their health is starting to fade I'm expecting at some point they might need my help and I'll be ready.

On a serious note, Loki your behaviour is not far off from your father's "goading" and need to be right.

It is strange, but we may have several sisters here based on PMs and Chat conversations.

I discovered I had out grown his petty tyrannies a little while ago. At a family dinner we told my parents I was pregnant. He said "And when LL gets bored of you, who is going to pay for the kid?" God that hurt, but LL just said "How could any man get bored of CA? And even if something happens to me, she has more money of her own than she needs to raise our child." Somehow that made it all better. And it removed the last of my Father's power over me.

I am contemplating doing something very stupid and inviting my mom to live with us so she can escape him. Sis you might want to help me talk myself out of that.

My dad cheated on my mom. They worked things out. Yeah sitting in the basement as a kid pretending not to hear the fighting was not nice. I can't say it fucked me up nor will I hate them for it. I wanted to be an artist and they wanted me to go to university. Glad they did. I make good money and have a good life. Can't say that would have been the case if I tried to be a comic book artist.
