Do you guys believe that the Eagles are giving up on the season in order to move up in the draft?
Westbrook is now out for the season and at 5 and 7, there is very little chance for them to make the playoffs.

I dont think they are purposefully throwing games away, they just have no top notch personnel right now!

they are not throwing games..........the are just have a cadastrofic breakdown.....alot of bad luck


Plus even if they lose every game from here......at best they will barly move up there are alot of bad teams already with worse records

I agree it's not a conscious effort to move up in the draft, but everything this season has gone wrong and this has snowballed into a disasterous season. It happens with great teams sometimes. Just a blip on the radar. They'll be strong again next year.

The curse of the Super Bowl loser? All the sports talking heads are murmuring about how the last 5 or so Super Bowl losers have tanked the following year. Of course, that is about as logical as the SI jinx, and statheads would just call it regressing to the mean, I suppose.

As a Giants fan, I am happy to see my team eke one out yesterday, a bit of revenge for 5 or so years of getting our ass kicked by the Eagles. But I agree with the others, the Eagles have had just a debilitating run of bad luck this year, but should still be considered a contender next year.

Let's put it this way: How good would the Colts be if they lost Harrison (if he acted like Owens), Manning to injury, James to injury, Wayne to injury, Vanderjagt for 4 games, and a couple of their best defenseman to injury? That's what Philly has had to deal with up to this point. Reid is too much of a tough-ass to have them tank on purpose.

They'll be back next year. They pick up a wideout in the draft, make a couple of deals, sign a free agent and if the injury bug leaves them alone, they'll be right back in there in '06.
