I did the basement myself. I am aware that you can only have 11 outlets on a 15 amp circuit..... and I am well under that.

So the plan to be executed....tap into one of those.....bring up a 14/2 line and out to an outdoor plug about 2 feet above grade (Can always use a pulg on the side of the house)

Then, using that plug box on the concrete wall as a junction box (Outdoor specific) I will run my 12/2 line into it to power the shed. The only load out there will be a lightbulb, and all will be wired as well or better than a tradesman would do it. (Yes I do use electrical tape to cover up the wire nuts ! ! ! ).

All is tied to a 15 amp breaker...and would certainly pass Inspection. No I will not get it inspected. I am quite confident about these small plug outlet add-ons!

I only get permits the legit way. I've never gotten one as a home owner, so I can only go by what I've been told.
And since you weren't applying as a homeowner, you presumably got no homeowner info from the office. You might ask them what the story is for homeowners next time.

I as stated in a further reply, I'll ask next time I talk to one. The inspectors are very busy, I'm busy, so I don't bother with questions that are not of immediate importance.

fmahovolich, why would you run 14/2 to the outside then run 12/2 to the shed. It would never pass like that.

You do know that #12 is larger than #14 right?
