I have just started chatting with a girl from a dating site, she said she was living in the states and now she is living in a place called Elizabeth Toronto, I'm not the best with giving directions but I somehow think that there is no such place, correct me if I'm wrong please.

Does she have a Filipino accent? Once calling/internet rates between the Philippines and North America dropped a little cottage industry developed where Filipinas go on Western dating sites running various sorts of scams. They range from persuading you to sign up to some sort of sex club, to buying membership on a dating site where you can cam to cam, or whatever. Anyway, it ultimately will involve you sending her money.

I ask because they generally have no idea of Toronto geography and so they rely on google to figure out where they want to pretend to live, and sometimes they come up with odd things like that.

Elizabeth St in Toronto? That's in Mimico, east of Royal York, north of Lakeshore. Or Elizabeth house in East York, lol, either way I think she's BS'ing you.

I have seen pics of her (if that is her) but not cam (as of yet), been chatting with a different girl as well, chatted online for almost 4 hours, we have so much in common, then she says she lives in Toronto but she is in Nigeria right now selling jewellery she will be back in Toronto on wednesday night, Both girls have said that they buy and sell jewelery and by the pics they sent me they are both smoking hot.

Oh man, Nigeria? There's been so much media coverage and exposure of these Nigerian scams, you're likely talking to a guy, and I'm guessing on your second chat the request for money will begin. "I am scheduled to come to Canada on Friday but I accidentally lost my plane ticket, can you please wire me $1,500 so I can come and see you?"

Elizabeth St, Toronto runs west then north from Bay St, at the back of City Hall, past the rear of the Bay St. bus station, and ends at Women's College Hospital.

I'm not sure that there are any residences on the street.

You're being scammed. Once "she" feels you have developed an emotional connection she is going to have some sort of problem there. Luggage got stolen, who knows what story. She will only need a little money from you to get home. If you pay her, something else will happen, and she will need a little more money. You will keep on sending money until you wise up.

"She" is probably not even a woman, and if they do pull some woman out to talk to you on the phone, she absolutely won't be the girl in the picture.

You are NEVER meeting this girl.

There's at least a 50% chance that if you search the photos you have in Google image search you will find out where the scammers got them from.

I assume that's a rhetorical question. At least it didn't cost you anything.

Get her to email you and trace the IP address on the email. Search for IP Trace in Google and you will get a number of sites where you can do this for free. You can also run the pictures through Tineye or Google images as others have pointed out.

There are other no-no's in the email source, such as emailers sent from a mass mail tool, like the Bat or emails coming from an IP address starting with 10 (private range - hiding location). There are a number of posts on this site that walk you through this, but if you get stuck, I would be happy to give you more specific help.

Besides all this, if it seems to good to be true...

Almost forgot - as someone who chats a lot online, Nigeria or anywhere else in Africa is a bad idea. There is a reason why they can never access a webcam! Even if they do, make them do something online that proves they are reacting in real time and it is not a prerecorded video playing for you.
