Just watched the replay...Turkey should definitely not feel ashamed, except perhaps Rustu who cost them the 2nd goal.

Germany didn't look that strong at all, now I know why Arsenal didn't play Lehmann this year, he didn't look that good at all. Lahm got absolutely skinned on the 2nd Turkish goal...if Germany plays like that on Sunday, they won't win.

I don't know. Germany is nothing if not tenacious. They have a scary attack to goal ratio, and they manage to do what they need to.

a bit more fortune and Turkey could have them dead and buried at half...guess we'll find out Sunday!
But they didnt, and as usual Germany claws their way to another final
(which they probably will win).

Only saw the highlights...apparently Cesc was awesome.

Just confirmed no Villa for the finals...I picked Spain to win from my very first post so I am sticking to that choice!

As good as David Villa has been, Spain are even better with Fabregas in the starting line up. They shouldn't have any problem defeating Germany - especially with the two ponderous mastedons in the middle of the German defense. OLE!

Two New items.

Marcello Lippi is coming back to coach the Azzurri, if he makes it to South Africa this is what his defense should look like:

Buffon, Santacroce, Chiellini, Dossena, Moretti

Andrea Dossena, who should have gone to the Euro, has signed with Liverpool. He is the son of Spain82 World Champion Giuseppe Dossena, and he is a much younger version of Cristiano Ronaldo nemesis Massimo Oddo. he is tall very physical and quick. He can play in defense or midfield, but he cannot allow himself to be relegated to the bench. He must make an impact an Anfield, his place on the Azzurri is at stake.

Absolutely. It will be interesting what the starting line up will be against Germany. And Ramos played great!
Ramos did play great, in fact I'd say everyone played up to their level today, except F Torres. Even Danny Guiza has scored more than Torres and he hasn't even played for a fraction of the time! I hope Fabregas starts on Sunday if Villa is out

Not to make excuses for F Torres but he created many scoring chances during the match. Its too bad Fabregas and Torres do not play together much since Torres' running game is ideal to get to Fabregas passes.

Guiza is a good player but I would take the grinder Torres to wear down the opposition's defence. It is perhaps for that very same reason Aragones has been starting Torres instead of Guiza.

Well this is, sadly the last day of Euro 2008. It has seemingly flown by...let's hope for a good finale with no winner on PK's!
