Ever had a stripper refuse to dance for you?

I was at Pigales this week (near Ottawa) and was turned on by a waif, cat-like stripper with short, light brown hair named Katrine. Also, I shoud first point out that earlier during my visit I caught her checking out one of the dancers on stage like she was "fresh meat". Anyways, Katrine turned out to be the first stripper ever to reject me for contact dances.

My question is whether anyone has ever had a similar experience. I know that some lesbians strippers are more interested in getting action from (or converting) other strippers than making money, but I think a stripper shouldn't refuse a customer unless the guy is unclean, she fears for her safety or something along those lines.

That sounds odd. Usually strippers are notin the clubs for their health or social standing. In fact I find it hard to just sit and enjoy the show without being approached by dancers asking me if they can dance for me, or simply hustling a drink order. They sit down and tell you how dancing is thorsty work and maically a waitress appears. she brings them a fancy mocktail but charges me the cocktailprice plus tip of course. If I dont want a dance they leave before the next song sarts and dothe same thing at another table. I imagine the dancer and waitress split the profits later. But never in my twenty plus years of attending these clubs have I ever been turned away for asking for a private dance. I've had to ait my turn, yes but never refused.

I've actually experienced dancers who wouldn't dance for me though for different reasons than the one you posted.

I used to travel extensively and would hang out at Deja Vu because a) I knew the rules b) I liked the fact that women would approach ME for a change etc.

Anyhow, about 2 or 3 times I've had dancers sit down with me and shoot the shit for about an hour. After a while I've asked them for a dance and they said no, they just wanted to hang out with me....Oh yeah, and my offer of a drink was refused (often they told me they get soft drinks free so I shouldn't pay for them).

Refused a contact dance? It happens. Some dancers want to do "air" only dances...
No, I think you misunderstood me. I'm talking about strippers like this Pigales stripper that wouldn't even go to the booth with me.

There are some dancers that refuse to do contact dances in a contact club, but that's a different issue. Pigales is an SC where all dancers are expected to offer contact dances.

Hey, it's her body. If she doesn't want to give you contact dances, that's her perogative - no matter what the club says.

I know some dancers who won't dance for young guys or for certain ethnic types, almost always b/c of a bad experience(s) they've had. And they make plenty of cash from their other regulars so turning a guy down isn't hard for them to do.

I have never had a dancer refuse to dance for me, but I have had plenty of times where the dancer would totally ignore me.

She will ask the guy next to me, behind me, in front of me, like I am invisible or something! And I am a pretty decent looking guy.

Who knows what goes through their minds when they are in the club.

LMAO - maybe the stripper is blind? And is just asking out anywhere, hoping someone will take her up on her offer.. :D

There's nothing wrong with a dancer being selective if she can afford to be.
More power to her!
Jeez, the gals face guys being choosy every minute of their shift every day.

That happens to me sometimes if I drop by a club in the afternoon on my day off work. There`s lots of businessmen there in expensive suits and shoes, I`m there in jeans, sneakers and a sweater. The girls ask everyone but me. Can`t imagine why....

The flipside is going there at night and getting approached by one before a waitress approaches you. Of course the ones that jump on you right away usyually turn out to the worst ones to have a conversation with.

As rude as a refusal might seem, some dancers are satisfied with their regulars and don`t want to take on new customers. It`s their perogative, however most will make a polite, tactful excuse instead of flat-out saying they don`t want to dance for you.

I asked a female friend who used to be a dancer what gives with this phenomenon and she explained that some dancers wont dance for you if you: 1. resemble LE
2. resemble an ex boyfriend or a a relative - even if they are sure you not that person its just too weird if you resemble someone they know
3. An ethnicity that they are prejudiced against
4. A slob -- its likely you are a poor person who will occupy them through three songs for just one dance -- removing them from circulation while the bigger spenders hook up with other girls
5. Some wont dance for you if you come in alone -- too creepy
6. Others shy away from guys in large groups - they feel too crowded when the group members close in for a better look
7. Some wont trust you if you are not drinking

The reasons are as different as the girls. It's been my experience that dancers are most receptive and ready if they are approached while doing the stroll. But like I said I get approached by them before I even spot them, so itsnever been an issue.

Yep, there can be a variety of reasons why they won't approach you. Sometimes it is a girl that I am interested in getting a dance from.

If she doesn't approach me, I don't go up to her and ask. I figure that if she doesn't ask me, when she asks everybody around me, she is not interested in dancing for me and I will give her a pass, no matter how attractive I find her.

This is called being a snob. From my reading of various message boards, dancers who are snobs don't fair as well as... but I guess if you look like Paris Hilton you can be a snob and still get rich stripping.

Exactly. And don't forget, a lot of guys are assholes so I don't blame strippers from being selective.

The answer is in Wha Wha Wha's post... in that there are sometimes no good reason for a girl not to ask you to dance... it's just how the girl feels at the time... it could be that when you turned your head this way or that, in that lighting she thought you looked like her brother or ex-husband.... it's very subjective..

But a girl refusing your request for a dance is strange.. the only reasons that I could think of are:
1. She was due up on stage next
2. She was having a shitty night and decided to go home
3. She was having a good night, and did not want to do anymore dances
4. One of her regulars was waiting for her so she had to go
5. You are of a particular ethnic group and she does not dance for that group
6. Somebody farted at the next table and she thought it was you....
7...

Girls refuse to dance for me all the time. I think it's the robe and the funny hat that I have to wear.

Asking them to drink from your holy penis probably does not help much either

Dancers are there to make money, if the girl refuses to dance for you. It is because she has confused you with a client that she has had a bad experience with or you are a client that she has had a bad experience with.
The girl could also be having a bad day, or suffering from a hang over. A dancer told me once that her father came in and requested a dance from her. ( she refused ) She had not seen her father since he walked out on her mother and 2 brothers when she was 10 years old. She had changed in appearance quite a bit in the 14 years since she saw her father, evidently he did not change a bit.
