Has there ever in the history of music that you can remember where a band came back as hard as this one - that might be a powerful statement but cmon, I haven't felt goosebumps like this since hmmm - fck I can't remember - oh wait it would have to be the debut of Wolfy's disc (Mammoth WVH). Extreme have released these 3 singles off of the new disc that will be released in June. Amazing.

First it was Rise - and Nuno is on fire - just listen to that FKN SOLO - tell me that doesn't give you some kind of feeling - go ahead - wtf does he do with his fingers - his fkn dexterity is off the charts...2:21 is where your hard-on will begin and at 3:26 is where you will nut.

Then there is the second single #Rebel and now its Gary's turn to fkn show you how a healthy lung sounds like - wow can this man sing - and of course Nuno continues is onslaught on that guitar - B R I L L I A N T.

Then there is Banshee - I don't even know what to say anymore other than June 9 can't come quick enough oh and of course N U N O!

I just heard of Nuno Bettencourt courtesy of Rick Beato. So I guess he's the guy. Having just previously watched an interview with Van Halen and Gary Cherone, where Eddy was being amazing.
So I guess Extreme are the guys now. I am a lot too old to really thrash along with them, but still. They are veterans.

I knew the answer before I looked it up, Extreme are from Boston, the epicenter of Portuguese/American Rock.

EVH didn't think that David Lee Roth nor Sammy Hagar wrote good lyrics, he hoped Gary Cherone would fix that problem. It was not a good fit.

EVH wanted a wordsmith that could write lyrics like the band that first took them on tour. VH1 was still over a year away at the time.

Still the GOAT rock band.
