Fake Profiles on SA?

I have been formally on SA recently and found that most of the time the girls are real (I have met 4 already). But here is something that happened to me recently. I was talking with 2 girls and decided to see each other. Both were very enthusiastic. And then all of a sudden the profiles have been deactivated. I feel this is very weird given the fact that the girls were looking forward to it, and one of them even recognized that my proposition was very generous.

I think SA has some people working for them to boost business artificially. Did you have the same experience?

I don't think a company would hire people to mess with their clients. Customer experience would be important if you are charging that much for a membership. Maybe they broke some rules or were scammers. I signed up for an account and I cannot believe the amount of profiles on there. Kind of amazed to be honest.

Not the same kettle of fish (different concept altogether) but there were a ton of fake profiles on Ashley Maddison

I tend to lean towards John's theory, we are dealing with a lot of millenials on the site (don't know if the 2 in questions are) and they can very flaky, for a lack of a better word. That's why I suggested in the other big thread to try to book a couple of dates on the same day. You will not believe the reasons the girls (some of them are not millenials, mind you) gave me when they cancelled our meet at the last minute but I took it all in stride and simply moved on to the next one.

I've used SA and Estsblished Men for years. Not surprisingly, with mixed results. Some great experiences, some flakes and some working girls doing business development. But even allowing for millennials and flakes, there are consistently a number of profiles with little or no info, but not pics. It's too consistent in my mind. I think it is the site "puffing" up the interest level and incentive to pay.

Recently met a student. All good, seemed good to go, but I had a nagging doubt about her. Met for a second time and she tearfully confessed she really didn't want to go thru with it but needed money for shopping. Bought lunch, smiled and wished her well

But I've had some great, 1-2 year SD/SB arrangements through these sites. Takes time and effort. But mutually beneficial.

I was a student as well I completely understand but I don't think if I needed money I would say it was for "Shopping". I see your point and I may have misinterpreted and if I did I take it back.

So I've been on S.A. for awhile but not as a paying member. I've been lerking and trying to get a feel for it. I'm hoping to be actually using the site official very soon. I have received messages and from time to time some of the profiles associated to the message end up removed. Thing is, I would remember some of the profiles and if they are going to create fake accounts I would think they would do it with better looking women.

Unlike Ashley Madison, the majority of the people signing up are women. This is the one site that the man has the advantage. AM was creating fake profiles for 2 reasons. To make it look like there are far more woman than there actually is and to send messages to men to engage them in conversation. That's how AM makes its money. Once a guy sends an email he is using credits.

It could be happening especially to guys like me to encourage membership sign up but I believe it's more that the women are trying it out and panic and back out

Actually, I think it's one of two things: you didn't offer them stupid amounts of money right away so they block you; they check out the site, don't like it and kill their profile.

I'm sure it's mostly the former reason.

Why would the SBs block SDs profile? Immaturity or because some of the SDs have been spamming them incessantly?

I know the CL/BP girls tend to block people who are vulgar or who ask for unsafe services but to block people because they didn't offer what you are looking for smack of immaturity.

They do it to thin out the herd. They get lots of messages and long lists of profiles on a search, so blocking just cleans things up--and, I guess, there also are rude assholes out there.

so many guys on here are saying they had good luck on there unless it is growing immensely I don't see the need to create fake profiles to send messages but that is just me.

They get in over their heads or are gun-shy. Was talking with a great girl for a long time. Real cool and we texted long after her profile was gone. She just had a hard time getting her head around it. I get it.

Any "social" (including media, like FB) will have bots creating fake profiles. It's the internet. In an effort to redirect traffic elsewhere (phishing), especially from SA. Men with money to spend, come on, it's the attempted pickpocketing, equivalent just online.

I don't know about you guys, but I've seen tons of fake profiles on tinder, where the message content is to get you to go to another website via hyperlink...

True. But there also a good number of "divas". Those that are seeking for someone just to throw money at them in return for a smile. Looking for a under 30 Tom Cruise type with more money than brains. Want money to even meet to discuss. If you push back or don't fall at their feet, they will block you. Waste of time (from my perspective) anyway.

I'm OK if they block me for not offering enough or if they expect anything on first meeting. It will help weed them out if they block me first.

I had the same thing happen to me this weekend. We are still talking. She does not want more money. It is just nerves.
