Arsenio Hall just basically fell from where he was (a popular 'hit' show) to...well, whatever he's doing, it's certainly out of the public eye for the most part. If I remember correctly, he was enjoying fame and good fortune on the show, had dated a very popular Paula Abdul and was on the A- list is terms of celebrity. Then I seem to remember a few disparaging not-so-nice comments about Jay Leno....maybe not the best move with Jay's power, but hey it's a competitive business. Then, former U.S. President Bill Clinton decided to be on Arsenio's show and played the saxophone. High ratings... Bush, Sr. decided that he might make a few appearances on the talk show circuit and was quoted as saying that he hadn't decided whether or not he'd do the Arsenio Hall Show. Now, it's been a long time, but I seem to remember that Arsenio, after hearing about Bush's comments, came on the show the next night and said something like, "Well Bush, you're not invited to my damn show!...". Shortly after that, I remember the show leaving the air. Arsenio of course said that the show had run its course, but I find it hard to believe that he'd leave out of boredom.
His association with DARE might not have been the best match for him, too. Read into that what you will...

Sinead O Conner makes the list. Tearing up a picture of the Pope live on TV (SNL?) did her in overnight. All the stars of the time were praising her voice, she was making hits, and then BAM, gone. She tried to come back a few years later, with minimal success. No one forgot or forgave her for that stunt.

Nancy Karigan - Never had any grace from which to fall. She just couldn't keep her big mouth shut at the right time. Tonya Harding did more for her than her 2 medals. They should've hit her in the head instead of the knee.

Boy George, Vanilla Ice, CrissCross, Snow ??? Someone needs to explain the specific incident that each of these had that killed their careers. As far as I can remember, everyone just lost interest in them, and there are hundreds just like 'em.

Sounds like Arsenio earned his spot on the list, and why few will touch him with a 10 foot pole still.

I forgot about George getting busted when hanging it out in the public john. That incident killed whatever was left of his dying career. He qualifies.

They usually leave that gas hoarding tid-bit out of his bio. But his fans took it pretty serious back in the late 70's.

The former mayor of Washington DC, his name escapes me, but the dude ended up on Police surveillance video SMOKING CRACK!! worst city in the USA at the time for crack cocaine, and the MAYOR ends up on television with the pipe!!

Also Pee Wee was jerking off to a Sandra Scream video. Met her when she was featuring at HOL1 in '93 or '94....had a steroid monster husband who roadied for her, she tried to talk my girlfriend at the time into doing porn with her company.

Ha! Marion Barry ! What a specimen this guy turned out to be. He could have made the list, but he was elected mayor again, after the crack pipe incident.

Still in the news for failing drug tests and tax evasion. You would think no mayor could come back from that, but he did, and still had more incidents to add to his sparkling resume.

Makes me wonder about that other mayor who blew up a housing development in his city to evict drug dealers. Philadelphia wasn't it?
