Fark off

So is the word fark a TERBism or is it out there in somewhat general use?

Reason I ask is I was in a public place and I heard someone mutter "fark off". I'm pretty sure I heard him correctly - i.e. I'm quite sure he said "fark".

Anyhow, if it's a TERBism maybe we can use it as our code word. You know, we don't have the secret handshake but we can go around saying "fark" by way of greeting.

I just made myself feel old. It's a 1984 movie starring Joe Piscopo. I can't believe it's 20 years old. Anyway I found it a outragously funny movie, not because of the main plot, but all of the little asides and comments.
