i don't care so much about size of the mall, or even which stores are in there

after all, with online and box stores, mall stuff is woefully overpriced

but i do want:

a) no-fee ATMs
b) food court with lots of variety
c) somewhat safe neighbourhood
d) free parking
e) clean restrooms

nice-to-have

a) movie theater
b) free wifi
c) eye candy

Roppongi Hills the "artelligent city", although maybe soon the Tokyo Midtown will give it a run for its money (I think Tokyo Midtown hasn't attracted enough tenants yet). Nobody does malls like Japan does, they take it to a whole other level. Forget "free wifi", they have an entire lounge area where they encourage people to sit and work, a truly world class theatre, multiple art galleries, an amphitheatre, several parks, four star hotels, health clubs, plus residential and office towers, literally everything you need to exist built into one giant complex.

If you insist on a North American mall I'd vote for the Houston Galleria: How can you not like a mall with an indoor skating rink?? Although in other respects it is "just a mall" without the sort of innovation that Roppongi Hills or the Tokyo Midtown bring to the concept.

In the GTA, Bramalea is the mall I go to most when I'm up there so I would say it's my favorite. I like the food courts there but hopefully the constuction that was going on last summer when I was there will be done when I go this summer.

I went to the one in Minnesota. You could have fired off a barage of cannons and not hit a soul. It was a miracle that the place was not bankrupt.

No deals to be had either.
Depends when you go... I've been there a 4-5 times... Some days busy, other days not so much.

Excellent mall though... The amusement park was deadsville- maybe because I'm usually there during the week.

Indoor malls seem to be giving way to "power centres" which have better economics for the tenants. It's nice to be inside in the snow or rain but the common area costs increase overhead.

Out being curious
since we've branched out of toronto...
in terms of eye candy....fashion show mall gets my vote..in vegas naturally...lol
nothin like stumbing over to the mall at lunch time to find ppl still in their club wear or stripper attire...plus they have a cool oxygen bar..

On some old "new" news...Dubai has taken it above and beyond...
they have the worlds largest dancing fountains..bigger than the bellagio's
indoor skating rink...AND INDOOR SKI SLOPE that rotates to avoid the sun...
kid-zone entertainment area
sega indoor theme park
and underwater zoo!

overall its just extravagent and i would love to viist one day...plus they have the worlds only "7 star" hotel..and now the worlds tallest building...

anyone ever been????

may I ask how many women that you picked up at a mall were you able to fuck?
Pros hang out at some of the food courts and will try to pick you up

The best eye candy in terms of girls walking the mall is at Sherway IMHO.

I'm partial to the Brampton Mall. I hang out at that Fabricland location and cruise for 75 year-olds.
