I was wondering how many of you terbies have made the switched over to Firefox. After switching I've noticed a significant reduction of malware getting installed on the many machines I replaced IE. It's great, the only time I use IE now is for Windows Update.

IE at the office though - that's the corporate standard at our company.

I use mozilla on windows at home. I also use mozilla and Kongueror on linux. I use firefox on Xp at work. I go out of my way to avoid IE. The most important feacher for me on any of these is the ability to expand text.

A friend recomended Firefox to me a few months ago. Some game sites only seem to work with IE but for the rest it's great.

I installed Firefox after reading this thread. I've had nothing but problems including not being able to load chat, being continually booted off the 'net with timeout problems, not being able to access my e-mails and other things. It wasn't good for me.
Firefox is only a browser. There is no email client included. Mozilla provides a separate email client called Thunderbird. It is still in beta but I have been using it for 3-4 months now without any problems. I haven't had any problems with Firefox either in that time. The only issue I had was options that were there under Preferences in Mozilla no longer existed under the new Options menu. Found out later that you can set some of these options through a configuration page that you can access by entering "about:config" in the URL box.

I understand that firefox is only a browser but when I went to access my e-mail I was not able to access them. There were obviously some problems which cropped up between it and Outlook Express when I ran Firefox.
Your default email program is set in Windows under Control Panel-> Internet Options -> Programs. It should still say Outlook Express. Firefox has nothing to do with mail so installing it shouldn't have changed any of your mail settings nor caused you problems accessing mail.
