hi all. first off, great message board. sorry for not reviewing anybody but i'm working on that.

ok, here's my discussion. which is cheaper in the end, a girlfriend or going to mp's?

if you date high maintenance g/f 's, (from my experience, chinese girls and european girls) you've got to spend major coin. on a typical night on the town you'll easily spend this amount ($10 parking/ $50 dinner/ $20 admission to a nightclub/ another $10 - 20 for drinks, etc.) all together easily 100 bucks if you're expected to pay for everything which a lot of girls do. birthday/ christmas/ valentines you must pay between $200 to $500 on gifts, never mind all the "surprise" gifts expected all year round. on top of all that, let' s say you go away for a weekend or a vacation. even if you cheap out and go camping, it's easily a couple hundred dollars.

if you're doing this all just to get a little nookey, it's pretty hefty. if you're tyring to get hitched then this thread doesn't apply to you, but i'm sure there's tons of guys who are just looking for some fun.

if you go to mp a couple of times (2 - 5) a month, i'd bet this could even be cheaper, despite what people would think. plus, you don't get the arguments over nothing, dealing with the girl's personal "issues" and general headache that starts to emerge after the first or second month of dating. nevermind the mental trauma on both sides of the inevitable breakup.

call me cynical but i'm sure there's some guys out there that agree. plus, not all girls are bad about money. i find "white" girls, to be pretty good about going dutch. if you date an asian girl, fuhget-about-it. you will be broke soon. sorry for the raciaL remarks, but i'm not racist. i'm an equal opportunity farker. :D

on your girlfriend
The answer depends on who you ask. To me $100 for a date is not high maintenance, most women I have dated expect to have a bit of money spent on them once in a while. That is not to say hanging and watching a movie is noy ok either. Recently I took a girl on a nice date (I chose it by the way), to Mama Mia ($200), Ruths Chris Steakhouse ($320 including tip), night at the Hilton ($240), drinks at an upscale lounge ($110). Granted it was a special occasion, she had the time of her life and the payoff will be 10 fold. If your girlfriend expects dates like this often, she is high maintenance.

Keep in mind, this hobby is not cheap. It easily becomes addictive. You do get action, but do not expect emotion. The fact is, anyway you cut the cake women cost money. If I had to choose only one, I would take the relationship. It is for you to make up your own mind brother. Peace.

At the range!!!
I dunno man if you can go out and do all that shit for $100 I think you may have answered your own question.

If I go out with a buddy to play darts on a Wednesday I drop a C-note.

If I take a chick out for coffee I don't leave the house with less than $500 no matter what colour she is. lol

$100 for a dinner date? Camping? That's not high maintenance.

As Canadian women have lost their femininity, seems like Canadian men may be losing their chivalry.
