I really hope that our judicial system increases the penalties for these fucks. I would be satisfied with 15-20 year penalties without early release/parole for even being involved in these types of crimes.
With lenient sentences like this we are not deterring this type of behavior.
IMHO, Ben is a nasty vile piece of rat shit that deserves to die. That being said, these types of predators generally seem to position themselves into some sort of power over young kids, whether it is a sports team, a scout group, a church group or an educational outlet, they all have one thing in common - Obtain a position of power that can control/manipulate young kids.
I have never known anyone associated with this type of crime so I have no experience in being someone who can "identify" a pedophile. Perhaps they are masters at disguising their alter-identities (as TERB seems to be accustomed to). From a publicity point of view my only concern is a lack of public condemnation from the Wynne government or Justin Trudeau in not outwardly displaying their distance from this monster. Yes, you can state that they should say nothing and let it pass, but I think it would say more if they publicly commented against it.
Funny thing is, most people will state "Send him to general population and they will serve justice". Yes, general population, those same people who were tried and convicted in the same society.
