Frankie may be innocent of rape, but he's still a stupid sleazeball. (Trust me, I know the guy personally, and I wouldn't piss on him if his hair - what little is left - was on fire.)
There's nothing wrong with wanting to bang a nineteen-year-old chick. Many of us do so regularly, to the point where it's become a "hobby". But, like anything in life, there's a right and a wrong way to go about doing things.
The right way, from a public figure' point of view, would be to hire an SP. That way, anonymity is practically assured and there's little chance of any scandal coming back to bite you in the ass, assuming of course that you hired a reuptable indy or used a good agency.
The wrong way is to do what Frank did: fuck your business associate's little girl. That is just so wrong on so many levels; it practically defies belief. Leaving aside the moral issues for a moment, it's also incredibly stupid from a strategic standpoint.
First of all, one should never "shit where they eat". In other words, your professional life and personal life should be separated by distinct boundaries.
Secondly, he should have known that he was leaving himself legally exposed. After all, he was a high-profile CEO at the time and she was just a kid. Surely he should have realized that she would have tremendous leverage over him if things went sour?
He didn't, and he made a stupid mistake, which he freely admitted in court. He may have gotten off the charges, but the allegations and innuendo will follow him around like a putrid odour for the rest of his life.
Payback is a bitch, indeed.
