As i recall he was banned because he refused to remove that famous cartoon that islam rioted over, from his signature line. At the same time someone, though I can't recall who was running an anti-Christan Cartoon in the signature line.

Moosehead is brewed in Saint John, N.B. Being an East Caoster, I grew up drinking the local swill. Strangely enough as popular as the Moosehead ale is in the north eastern states, we never drank the ale.
Moosehead Breweries also had a nice Lager called Alpine. That and Schooner were like mother's milk to a young "coaster".
You would probably like Alpine. Next time I go back to the coast, I'll bring you back a case.
