Freaking Pop-ups

Hey Fred,

What's with all the pop-ups with I come onto TERB. This didn't use to happen, now I get hit with ads for various companies. Is it just me or are others getting this stuff. I know we don't pay any annual membership but.........

Using Firefox browser also helps in cutting down the amount of spyware.

BUT WITH FIREFOX you can not cut and paste anything on TERB

Don't know what browser you're using but IE6 has a popup blocker. And you DO have spyware on your pc.......

Problem with IE is it is at best fair and by far MICROSHAFT

Go to Microsofts web site and download thier Microsoft antispyware program. I find anything more serious or more recent it will catch (especially all the stuff that will keep coming back) and that Ad-aware will catch all the smaller stuff that happens just from surfing. I find these two the perfect combination.

I agree, google has a good addon tool bar, I have tried may pop-up blockers and the one on that toolbar seems to work very well. It can also be turned off and on easily

Opera and Firefox browsers have built in pop-up stoppers that work great.

Agree that it sounds like you have some spyware that has to be cleaned out.

Yahoo has a good free toolbar that cleans up junk in your PC also.
