Licks...I agree depends on the location the one in Richmond Closed down but was usually good.
Steer Inn ---Yes onion rings are greats
Wimpy's always good.
Johnny's was great in the 80's but I was there last year and it was sub McDonalds quality.
Another gem in Scarborough is VP and Ellesmere beside the bank owned by a greek guy makes a great burger.

Angels Diner. The Hot Marilyn burger is the best. Not really in the GTA but for those needing yet another reason to go to Guelph/KW area it is well worth it.

The fries at The Real McCoy are really too, so is the gravey.
The fries are cut thick and fried crispy. They're a bit greasy, but you won't notice if you get the gravey.
I recommend the banquet burger.
Another popular burger there is Mojo burger, which is their Home buger but it was renamed after they won a contest from AM 640 back when they were called Mojo.
If you see the Bare Naked Ladies video for Lover's in a Dangerous Time, you'll see The Real McCoy in the background of one of the scenes.
Last time I was there I was talking to an ambulance driver that said he drives across the city for their pizza. I never tried the pizza cause the burgers are too good. A lot of cops go there late night too.
