What is it with these assholes?

Billy Joel is playing in concert March 25th at the Syracuse Carrier Dome and after March 1st Ticketmaster put a notice on the website that nobody outside the New York State area is allowed to purchase tickets for this event! The best part is after speaking to various customer service agents from Toronto to California to even Texas WILL NOT give a reason for this!

I could've had 17th row center on the floor and the system says Canadian will call and then you get a restricted message pop up!

The Carrier Dome is located in Syracuse, New York. Sales to this event after March 1st 2006, will be restricted to residents of New York State Only. Residency will be based on credit card billing address. Orders by residents outside New York State will be canceled without notice and refunds given.


Sure there's always ebay but when tickets for this concert are only $39.50 US because Billy loves playing this venue, it's so upsetting to say the least!

Another part of the reason that ticketmaster screw people with tickets any chance they get! Anyone else have this sort of problem with ticketmaster?

Talk about discrimination in a sense to restrict this event to people outside the area who are within driving distance to the event!

As much as the policy sucks!!! The concert in syracuse is a celebration of the dome and its 25 years. If you noticed Billy is only charging 39.50 a seat which is the same price he charged in the late 90's when he played the dome. It was AEG(billy's promoter) and Billy himself who decided on the policy. Besides tickets went on sale in December and you had until March 1st to buy tickets. Take a chance with scalpers with 39000 people there will be lots of opportunity for good tickets at fair prices

We managed to get tickets outside the Dome from only ONE person and considering the Dome had been sold out for months, we were very lucky!

Billy has sold out the entire tour and it was an AMAZING show! He played for nearly 3 hours and his voice never sounded better. I've seen him since the early 80's and anyone who appreciates this legend and American Icon know all about his timeless catalogue of songs ('Movin' out (Anthony's Song)', 'Piano Man', 'Captain Jack', 'Scenes from an Italian Restaurant', 'Big Shot') will LOVE this concert! He played those songs and so many more that he hadn't done in years!

I don’t believe he’s touring into Canada but if he does no doubt he’ll sell out a concert in Toronto and rightly so!

And to those who have nothing better to do then criticize an American Icon should really keep their worthless comments to themselves considering they're actually named after a guy who is truly the one that’s WASHED UP and only subjected to doing Priceline commercials! LOL!

Are you serious? Where did you find the tickets and where did you sit? You had to love it when the Orange County Choppers showed up to present Billy with a custom made chopper! That was classic! I hope Billy decides otherwise and makes it to Canada but it looks like he's heading over seas first.
