Hi everyone. I'm interested in picking up some double-size sateen bed sheets, 100% Pima cotton 400 thread. I currently have one such set and it's been super comfortable for me when I'm sleeping.

I'm looking specifically for such bed sheets from Fieldcrest -- my mother owns a set and told me that they're the best sateen sheets she's ever owned. She and my father bought a set years ago from the Bay, but unfortunately it is no longer sold there anymore. I tried searching for it on Amazon, but I couldn't find it available there either.

Are any of you familiar with this brand, and can suggest possible stores in Toronto that might sell these? I would also appreciate any other online retailers that may have the Fieldcrest Pima cotton 400 thread sateen sheets available.

Much appreciated!

I wouldn't recommend them , they dont wash well and they slide off you in the middle of the night

The wrinkling will be my demise I swear.

I iron the sheets and duvet far more often than I should.
LOL.. That's adorable and annoying at the same time! I live in an extremely minimalist demise (friends jokingly ask me when I intend on moving in, and I've been here for a few years) and I've yet to iron my sheets. When there's a single piece of furniture in a room you tend to notice the details and I still can't iron those sheets.

My unrequited crush in high school used to iron her jeans? Baffled me. Baffles me to this day.

I disagree. I've found sateen sheets to be very comfortable when I sleep (other bedsheets were often too hot for me and was uncomfortable), and I've found washing them in high heat to be easy.

High heat? Really?

I wonder if there is any way to retain the sheen. That disappeared after the first or second wash for me.

Well, for me, the sheen isn't important, it is the comfortable feel of the fabric itself, which can indeed be accomplished through high heat (I wash all bed sheets with high heat to kill off bacteria and remove my body sweat).
