Like I said before - do not count out the Wolverines - they looked impressive routing number 2 ranked Notre Dame 47-21 in South Bend, IN. Michigan is just getting started and looking good to make a run for the national title.

next victim - the Badgers!!

GO BLUE!!!!!!
#$%^&*( !@@#$%^

There goes any hopes of the National Title... I was concerned when they played so badly against GTech... Brady Quinn was a front runner for the Heisman, but now I would not even put him in the top 20 right now...

Good for Michigan, I like Henne as a QB...

Notre Dame was overrated. Georgia Tech is a .500 team at best and they struggled mightiliy with them

Let's get the true story out boys - Notre Dame was and is overrated - I don't even know how the Irish got such a generous ranking from the beginning.

let's see how they do with State next week in East Lansing.

the glory days for the Irish are gone! - no more Rudy movies for a while!!!

Notre Dame is always overrated. It's a TV viewership, revenue thing.

Notredame had a great year yesterday, and I believe that they had alot of returning starters... They also had a very strong recruiting field. The returning team was extremely strong with QB, RB and two great receivers coming back...

I am not giving up on my team just yet.. Let's wait and see... on the flip side, with Henne, Hart and Manningham, you had the major pieces of the offence in place but the Michigan defence was very good. They also had a very strong recruiting class, so things look good for them...

The Irish will make it back to the top 10 by the end of the year..... don't fret

An impressive win at South Bend. That's two #2 ranked
teams in two weeks [Texas/ND]. I wonder whose going
to be burdened with that ranking this coming week.

Its making the UM-OSU game look interestinger and
interestinger. But, with MSU and Iowa along with
Wisconsin in the mix it may be tough for both teams
to run the table through to that last game.
Hey what about the Illini:eek:

who says by the time the Wolverines play the Buckeyes on Nov. 18 - that the Buckeyes are still ranked # 1.

it will be more like this:the number 1 ranked Wolverines head to Columbus OH to play the number 8 ranked Buckeyes!!!:p

the good thing is that the games against Wisconsin, MSU and Iowa are all being played at the BIG HOUSE - so the Wolverines are going to have home field advantage.!!!!

on the other hand, the Buckeyes play MSU in East Lansing and Iowa in Iowa City. Quite a few upsets have taken place up in Iowa.

What an amazing stadium... On one of my first road trips upon getting my car, I headed over to Ann Arbor and walked around the stadium.... Standing at the 50 yard line looking up... I could not believe how close the fans seemed to be or that the stadium could hold almost 100,000? It seemed so small....

The Big house has 110,000 seating capacity.

Nice... I thought it would look huge from the field, but it felt like the fans were right on top of you... Way back in the day, when televison sets only went up to channel 13 and remote controls had cords... We got our ABC, NBC and CBS feeds from Detroit, so I watched alot of Wolverine games.. but I had already read a book about the 4 horsemen and I became a Notre Dame Fan..

My first book was on Bill Russell and I became a Celtics Fan etc...

It doesn't take much to get you all pumped up.

You're entitled to be flippant for a couple days
but if it goes beyond that I'll have to start giving
you dumb slaps. Enjoy, gravitational forces will
bring your team back down to earth.
quite of few critics out there didn't have some good things to say about my alma mater - I think the convincing win on Sat. in South Bend put an end to that.

Hey DQ - I wouldn't be that confident - those farm boys up in Iowa sure know how to play ball!!!:D

There's going to be some very competitive games

Iowa is always competitive. For whatever
reason Wisconsin gives the Buckeyes a tough
go.

But, the Wolverines are going to be in some very
competitive games as well.

We'll just have to wait until November to sort this
all out.
I didn't say it would be easy - but like I said I like the fact that the games against Wisconsin, MSU and Iowa are all in Ann Arbor.

The trip to Minnesota to play the Gophers concerns me - they always play a hard game against the Wolverines.

Finally Michigan is playing some tough defence - haven't seen it since '97. It took a 7-5 record for Lloyd to bring in a new defensive coordinator.

Thanks.

It should be a great game against the Buckeyes - hopeully no injuries until then - and the BLUE should be on their way to a national title!!!!:)

but before the Buckeyes - the Wolverines need to get passed a couple of good teams like the Badgers, the Spartans and the Hawkeyes.
