The BBC three-part series, "elusive peace: Israel and the Arabs", charts the attempts to bring peace to the Middle East, from former US President Bill Clinton's peace talks in 1999-2000 to Israel's withdrawal from the Gaza Strip.

God told Bush to invade Iraq: BBC !
London, Oct 7 - US President George W. Bush allegedly said God told him to invade Iraq and Afghanistan, a new BBC documentary will reveal, according to details released on Thursday.

Bush made the claim when he met Palestinian leader Mahmud Abbas and then Foreign Minister Nabil Shaath in June 2003, the ministers told the documentary series to be broadcast in Britain later this month.

The US leader also told them he had been ordered by God to create a Palestinian state, the ministers said.

Shaath, now the Palestinian information minister, said: "President Bush said to all of us: 'I'm driven with a mission from God.'God would tell me, 'George, go and fight those terrorists in Afghanistan'.'"and I did, and then God would tell me, 'George, go and end the tyranny in Iraq...' and I did."'And now, again, I feel God's words coming to me, 'go get the Palestinians their state and get the Israelis their security, and get peace in the Middle East.' And by God I'm gonna do it'," said Shaath.

Abbas, who was also at the meeting in the Egyptian resort of Sharm al-Sheikh, recalled how the president told him: "I have a moral and religious obligation."So I will get you a Palestinian state."

A BBC spokesman said the content of the programme had been put to the White House but it had refused to comment on a private conversation.

The programme speaks to presidents and prime ministers, their generals and ministers, about what happened behind closed doors as the peace talks failed and the Intifada grew

"And Cheyney spent 40 days and 40 nights in the White House, and when he came down, he brought us the 10 commandments from our Lord Bush. And He said,
#1) I am the Lord your Bush who brought you into the land of Iraq
#2) You shall have no other views besides Mine...Do not watch any liberal media or any likeness of what is in the blue states
#3) You shalt not swear falsely by the name of the Lord, even if He is Vacationing during a disaster.
#4) Remember the Election day and keep it suspicious
#5) Honor your free market economy and make Me rich.
#6) You shall not murder, unless it be Moslems, Foreigners, or any one who isn't white, Christian, and American.
#7) You shall not commit adultery (Billy took care of this one)
#8) You shall not steal, just use shady accounting
#9) You shall bear false witness against your neighbors if it provides you with an excuse to invade
#10) You shall covet your neighbor's oil.

p.s. I'm not that anti-Bush but this is pretty damn scarry.

Hearing voices that are telling you to invade other countries. I really think George, and in turn the rest of us, would have been much better served if he had sought professional therapy to quit drinking, rather than trying to do it on his own.

In a van down by the river
At this moment I have in my heart a prayer. As I have assumed my duties, I humbly pray Almighty God, in the words of King Solomon.
"Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge. Thy people, that I may disceern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this Thy so great a people?"
I ask only to be a good faithfull servant of my Lord and my people.
Here is a trivia question: Who said the above?
Here is a hint, it was a former president, at a "State of the Union" address.

Given you have been reading his biography, I'm guessing Truman. Many presidents have evoked God in their addresses. I can't remember any that have claimed God talked to them using their first name and incited then to invade other countries.

Harry Truman. So what's your point?

Most people do not mind someone praying to God and asking for help.

It's when some people say that God talks personally to them that gets most of us to think they are crazy. Way "back in the day," I worked at a State Mental Hospital. Just about every patient there claimed to be on a first name basis with the Almighty, getting signs and instructions every day.

Often people will pray and say God told them...to do something or not to do something.

Most often it's their conscience saying "based on who you are and what you know"..this is the right path to take

George followed what his Dad told him was right..he listened to HIS God...not anyone else's. That God has a name... George Sr.

It's a puppet government. Who exactly is pulling the strings? Is it George Sr and his oil connections and hatred of Iraqi's, Cheney protecting his investment intrerests in Defence...we'll never know.

We, as does everyone else in the world..knows..it's wrong. It's flawed. It's protectionism without reduction in oil dependancy. The fact the US refuse to be part of the Kioto (sp) accord proves it.

It's simply being a school yard bully with the technology to keep you one step ahead. But it will come back to haunt them.

Along the way the US has just simply pissed off way too many people around the world. You cannot shut every door..and sadly extemeists will get through.

Innocent people will pay for a foreign policy that put huge amounts into a staggeringly few pockets, while others pay the bill.

But as is always the case with the DC minions..it will be someone elses fault.

In his book, Plan of Attack, Bob Woodward reports that Bush told him that he had talked to God and God told him to invade Iraq. Woodward asked him if he had spoken to his father about the invasion, and Bush said he had sought the advice of a "higher father."

There has been no dispute about that from the WH.

So here we have a report of Bush saying the same thing to someone else.

Get over it, Face. The Shrub is a douchebag.

Actually, he spent that time in a bunker, remember, pushing garbage that every Arab on every street corner was going to attack every democracy known in existance, including the Methane versions of life on Saturn's moon Titan. So it is true!

The FBI is investigating Vice President Dick Cheney's computers, which IMO, is a bigger story than ever in the 21st Century so far! Yet, it's being supressed by the illegal US Government sponsored plagerist media.

Imagine, the XO of the United States is being investigated by the FBI. But what is the media talking about?

No dispute? Hell, the Bush/Cheney 2004 campaign even listed Woodward's book as recommended reading on their website at the time.

A little question for the skeptics

So what exactly makes everybody so certain that the President isn't receiving Divine guidance or instruction ?

Gosh truncy, if that was the case don't you think God would have given him the tiniest hint where Osama might be, instead of encouraging him to invade Iraq when George believed he was doing it because of WMD? If George is receiving divine guidance, God must be playing one Hell of a big joke on all of us.
