Tell me about it, I checked out a location where my company is working near Wasaga Beach and it showed nothing but forests.... when our trailers and machines have been there since March!
I have had the same type of problem as you. I've been starting to get creative on how I locate my hometown of Huntsville, Ontario. Nothing works!
I mean c'mon, India has this whole blur thing going on which makes it impossible to locate places like Taj Mahal, The Red Fort or The Golden Temple...ect.. I understand it was for there own privacy and security reasons. However in the case of Muskoka, it's like 1 big forest. Perhaps they thought any region with a place called Santa's Village that is open in the summer was not worth the extra work, but I can see boats sailing of the coast off the Ikarian Island in Greece.
Regardless, Google Earth is the coolest program I have ever seen. This is the future of Map Quest.
(just imagine what the military has and uses and how much more advanced it is)
