I've been finding that my Google searches are being re-directed to malware sites and hijacking regular pages that sit and wait and wait and wait, meanwhile there's a little message bottom left that says, "Waiting for google.analytics.com". The page requested never loads.
In some other forums (fora?) there are two free download virus checkers/killers that are suggested. One is Malware Bites Anti Malware and one is ComboFix. I downloaded them but they won'tt run. It's as if whatever virus I've got is interfering with the programs, keeping them from starting.
I went back to see if there was an update available at Malware Bites but - ACH! - now the page won't load!!
I'm just about to pull my hair out.
Has anyone else had a similar problem that you've been able to fix? I'm at my wit's end here.
