Finally retiring after all these years. Can't say I watched City in the last few years especially after Rogers took over, but he's still a class act IMO.

He was the best. I met him once too. He was doing a report near my old junior high. My friends were asking him questions about the after midnight adult movies City TV once played. He was joking around with us.

When he passed away, it felt like a piece of Toronto went with him.

Gilmour wouldn't have stood a chance had his exploits occurred during this social media environment we now live in.

Looking back it is amazes me how the majority of celebrities were protected by the press.

I cannot recall when the general press adopted their shark feeding frenzy they seem to have these days. Perhaps it was the liberal media's hate for Ford that opened up the flood gates for this type of behavior...Gone are the days that a Gilmour could hide like he was able to.
