Marlene Streit who , at age 69 , won the US Amatuer golf champioship for seniors yesterday . This combines with 4 other US Amatuer championships over 5 decades . I remember seeing her on Shell's Wonderful World of Golf on TV when I was 10 or 11 .

For sheer perkiness you have to give a vote to Jamie Salle. She has replaced Jose Chouinard at the top of hot Canadian skater list.

All time favourite is Liisa Savijarvi, alpine skiier from 10 years ago. Won a couple of World Cup events in late 80's and still has a rockin' body .

As far as athletic ability I have to give it to Catroina le May Doan or Alyson Sydor who has ruled world cup mountain biking for the last few years.
