I always thought they had a lot of fun at GTAC. I wouldn`t run it down just because it was different than Terb, after all if you didn`t like it you didn`t have to visit tbill`s GTAC.

When I noticed it "disappeared," I wasn't sure if maybe it had falled due to LE interest.

Certainly, TBill was a bit of a "fragile" character, and with the site depending on him, that didn't end up well :-(.

It was nonetheless useful to have something of a "parallax" view; something with a clearly different bent than TERB. Both can have some BS, and you can see something of the truth out of the differences between the BS in the respective places.

The discussions, particularly in the men's room, were quite entertaining and informative. I, too, miss it.

I too miss GTAC... Yes there was a lot of crap on the board, but much of it was good for a laugh. There was (is) a greater feeling of community on GTAC. The members had fun and kidded with each other but if someone was pushed the community would push back.

While I have been a member of this board for a while, I have not been as motivated to post reviews and comments. I trust as many of the GTAC community look for a new home, some of the personality will rub off on the other boards.

On a final note, it would be nice to have some factual information on the status of GTAC; we seem to be embracing these threads as gospel and rumors as fact. Something more concrete would be appreciated.

If I'm not mistaken...

It was T-bill's original intention that his message board serve to rally hobbyists to resist what he saw as creeping inflation in the price of sex services in Toronto.

Hence the name "the john co-op". (LOL I thought at first John Coop was T-bill's name.)

As the board evolved, and adapted to changing pressures, this message got diluted somewhat, but it explains both the clients unwilling to settle for the listed price of services, and T-bill's reluctance to compel SP's to pay for listings and for posting schedules.

Ultimately the board IMO was too many different things to too many different people; if it caused T-bill's head to explode it should come as no surprise. GTAC's contradictions reflected those of its owner's personailty, on one hand arrogant belief in his superiority, on the other hand, desperate to seek approval (not going to get into his paranoia LOL).

I'll miss GTAC for numerous reasons... I found it more focussed than TERB, maybe because of the smaller community, and it seemed to do a lot more in promoting the wonderful ladies... tbill would often add a lady's link to a thread that discussed her.
