I think the U.S. will invade Iraq within 2 wks. Some people would say peace comes through doing nothing.I beleive today the only way any peace will come will be through action. To do nothing would allow evil men to prosper.I thank God there are strong men like Prime minister Blair who have courage to help the U.S.

Check the lunar cycle to see when the next new moon is...Around the end of March/beginning of April. That is the best time to make your strike, under the cloak of darkness. If I am not mistaken that is when the US began their attack for the last Gulf War.

Things continue to be interesting. It seems possible the US may just go it alone this time around sans UN mandate. Will the Brits follow the US to war even if there is no mandate? (Not that the US particularly needs their military assitance to win.)

I noticed that the US is already bombing a few radar installations - softening things up I guess in advance of the actual main force. So in a sense, maybe the war has already begun. Of course, there is the argument that the war really started around 8:00 am on Sept 11, 2001 when the first airline was hijacked.

End of March

When it's darkest and before the summer heat begins in earnest. Why would we have to wear bio gear, he has no weapons, right? LOL

There is no turning back, you don't ship a quarter a million men (and women) half way across the world to do nothing. This war is on, it's just a matter of politics now. I think that's going to be the swing point for many Security Council fence sitters "it's going to happen, do you want to prosper from it or not?" I have to believe Turkey is rethinking their position. Can you say independent Kurdistan?

I still think the north korean leader a greater hazard than saddam. the north korean leader grew up in a hardline stalinist state being told by his father [put there by stalin] that he is

"the son of GOD and he can do no wrong"

he is a massively insecure nutcase with nukes and that makes him dangerous.

saddam can be solved with a single bullet.

aamof, that's the exact view on the situation for a lot of people in Asia.

Mr. K J I, a mad man with missiles, possibly nukes, threatening the whole far east region, as well as N America.

north korea has a very busy and very successful business in arming anyone who has cold hard cash.

Missiles, tanks, tactical aircraft, things of that sort.

the thought of him selling nuclear devices is plausible and sends shivers down my spine.

I'm not afraid of the country that has 10,000 nukes, but I'm terrified of the guy who just needs ONE.

anyway, my guess would have been around the 15th - in part because of bushies rejection of chretiens idea of a march 28 deadline (so d-day had to be before that)

but now with the problems with getting turkey onside, and the need for a new vote there to authorise the US to invade via turkey, it may turn out to be closer to the 28th.
