Halifax & St. John's- recommendations

Restaurant recommendations?

I'm going to be spending a few days on the east coast and it's been quite some time since I was last out there. I have some free time and I would love to find a nice restaurant in each city to check out. Important things for me would be location in the downtown, having a good wine list (ideally with options by the glass as I'll frequently dine solo) and vegetarian options.

Thanks! :)

Restuarant in St. John's

You might try The Vault on Water Street. Not sure about vegetarian options but the wine list should be good. Lots of great little restaurants in St. John's!

Try the Wooden Monkey... limited wine selection, but 100% organic foods and many vegetarian options. :)

In Halifax, I would go to the Press Gang... In St. John's I would recommend Blue on Water and Aqua. All have excellent food and wine lists.

Kyra, you seem like a beautiful girl. So why are you dining solo?

You can always go to a bar and pickup a guy (or vice versa) or even have your agency put you on schedule.

I like having a nice quiet meal.

Check out The Economy Shoe Shop on Argyle street. It's a bar/eatery with an atmosphere all it's own. A definite must see!
